Practice Concentration

Jeff Bergstrom's practice is focused primarily
on business, real estate and related tax law. Using his legal, business
and tax expertise, Mr. Bergstrom assists his clients with a wide
variety of legal needs, including structuring and forming all types
of business entities; business succession through acquisition, mergers,
reorganization, family planning and/or asset and equity sales; financing
transactions; negotiating and drafting contracts; general business
counseling; documenting the financing and structuring of real estate
ventures and a variety of tax matters.
Additionally, Mr. Bergstrom provides the firm’s
clients with timely and relevant tax information regarding the ever-changing
tax rules. As a “transactional tax” attorney, he assists
in the structuring of economical and practical business solutions
for corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and
other types of businesses in order to minimize the tax consequences
of specific transactions. He also represents clients before the
IRS, the Tax Court and various state and local tax agencies.
Mr. Bergstrom represents a broad spectrum of clients
including several multi-branch banks and private lenders, advertising
and marketing companies, construction contractors, insurance companies,
churches, hotel owners and operators, retail stores, restaurants,
multi-family, commercial and residential property owners, homeowners’
associations and charitable organizations.
Mr. Bergstrom is a graduate of the University of
Akron School of Law and the College of Business Administration (with
a MBA in Management) and a graduate of the University of Denver’s
Graduate Tax Program (with a LL.M. in Taxation). Jeff is married
to a director of nursing services at a local hospital, is the father
of two elementary school age daughters and is an avid golfer and
skier.
