Lee Darling is a premier real estate and business
transactional attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience
guiding her clients through the obstacles present in a complex business
or real estate transaction, including crafting the proper documentation
for the deal. Ms. Darling has worked on many diverse and exciting
projects, from the acquisition of a ski area to the overseas manufacture
of a specialized sports racing car. She has aided clients in the
acquisition of development property, the construction of up-scale
condominium units and commercial buildings, the “condominiumization”
process and the establishment of appropriate owners’ associations.
She acts as general counsel to a number of companies, both profit
and non-profit, in areas ranging from real estate investment, development
and brokerage to cancer prevention, awareness and research.
Ms. Darling calls her law practice a “relationship
practice” and considers herself just one participant in the
team that drives the client’s business. She understands that
the role of the attorney is to enable the client to make sound,
well-informed decisions. Her challenge is to anticipate the client’s
needs as she guides them through both good corporate times and bad.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Florida
College of Law, Ms. Darling has spent her legal career in private
practice in south Florida and in Denver, Colorado. She enjoys her
chosen career and the people she encounters in it. Married to an
attorney and the mother of two school-aged children, she spends
her leisure moments reading, skiing and traveling.
